AMPERE AI PRIVACY & TERMS
How our Android application collects, uses, and protects your information, and the terms of your use.

This document constitutes the Privacy Policy and Terms of Service for the Ampere AI Android application ("the App"). It explains what information we collect, why we need specific device permissions, how your data is handled, and the terms governing your use of the App.
DATA COLLECTION & REQUIRED PERMISSIONS
To provide advanced battery analytics and optimization, the App requires several specific device permissions. We are committed to transparency regarding how these are used:
- App Usage Statistics (PACKAGE_USAGE_STATS): We collect data on how often and how long you use other apps on your device. This is core to our battery modeling, allowing our AI to predict battery life based on your specific usage habits. This data is processed securely and aggregated.
- Background Services (FOREGROUND_SERVICE & FOREGROUND_SERVICE_DATA_SYNC): The app runs a continuous background service to accurately log battery percentage drops, usage history, and sync data smoothly over time.
- Network Usage (READ_NETWORK_USAGE_HISTORY): We request this to correlate battery drain with network activity across your applications.
- Notifications (POST_NOTIFICATIONS): Used to provide you with real-time alerts about your battery health, optimization suggestions, and background service status.
Note: We no longer request 'Installed Applications' (QUERY_ALL_PACKAGES) or 'Accessibility Services' as we have evolved our feature set to respect your privacy and have built alternatives.
DATA TRANSMISSION, STORAGE & THIRD-PARTY SERVICES
Your battery statistics, app usage data, and device metrics may be securely transmitted to our cloud infrastructure for analysis and syncing. We utilize the following third-party services:
- Supabase: Serves as our primary database for storing device linking information and aggregated metrics.
- RevenueCat: Used to manage premium subscriptions and payment statuses securely. We do not process or store your credit card or payment details; all billing is handled natively by the Google Play Store, and RevenueCat simply verifies your entitlement status.
GDPR COMPLIANCE & DATABASE LOCATION
We are committed to complying with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and other applicable privacy laws. The data we collect is hosted securely on our Supabase infrastructure, which is physically located in the East US (North Virginia) data centers. Because our servers are located in the United States, your data may be transferred internationally. We ensure that all cross-border data transfers are safeguarded by appropriate mechanisms such as Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) and that our third-party vendors are strictly vetted for GDPR compliance.
Under GDPR, you have the right to access, rectify, or request the deletion of your personal data. You can clear your app data at any time or uninstall the application to stop all background monitoring and data collection. To request complete data erasure from our cloud services, please contact us.
ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE (AI) POLICY
The App utilizes Artificial Intelligence (AI) to analyze your battery usage patterns, predict battery life, and suggest optimizations. We respect your privacy regarding AI processing:
- Local & Secure Processing: Whenever possible, AI models are run locally on your device. When cloud AI processing is necessary, your usage data is securely transmitted and anonymized.
- No Public Training: We do not use your personal, identifiable data to train public AI models or sell this data to third-party AI companies. Our AI algorithms solely serve to provide you with personalized battery health insights and to improve the Ampere AI service.
TERMS OF SERVICE
By using Ampere AI, you agree to the following terms:
- License: We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the App for personal, non-commercial purposes.
- Subscriptions: Premium features are available via auto-renewing subscriptions. Payments are charged to your Google Play account. You can manage or cancel your subscription directly through the Google Play Store settings.
- Disclaimer of Warranties: The App is provided "as is" without any warranties, express or implied. While our AI and analytics strive for high accuracy, battery health estimations are predictions and should not be taken as absolute guarantees.
- Limitation of Liability: Ampere AI and its developers shall not be held liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use or inability to use the App, or from decisions made based on the App's analytics.
CHANGES TO THIS POLICY
We may update this Privacy Policy and Terms of Service from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or for legal reasons. We will notify you of any significant updates within the App or by updating the "Last updated" date above.
